Do you have wireless?  Do you want wireless?  Check out the MobileCollect Advantages page and compare!  We guarantee that you will have "The Experience of Total Satisfaction" with MicroRidge and with MobileCollect!

Manufacturing today and tomorrow requires increased efficiency and decreased costs.  MobileCollect can be part of that equation because we believe it offers you the best wireless value on the market today.  MobileCollect makes it easier to bring your gage to what is being measured, rather than bringing what is being measured to your gage.  Collect measurements with handheld gages (calipers, micrometers, etc.) and other instruments, and send wirelessly to your PC.

MobileCollect gives you the greatest range of options and flexibility for wireless measurement collection.  MobileCollect offers features and functionality not found in any other wireless system.  MobileCollect supports the broadest range of digital and RS-232 gages, scales, and interfaces from manufacturers such as Brown & Sharpe, CDI, Federal Maxum, Fowler, LMI, Mahr Federal, Mitutoyo, Ono Sokki,  Starrett, Sylvac, etc. and also - our own GageWay line of interfaces.

MobileCollect has been approved for use in North America (United States, Canada and Mexico), South America, Australia, New Zealand, and Europe.  The radios used in MobileCollect operate in the Industrial, Scientific & Medical (ISM) frequency band at 2.4 GHz.
The Digital Mobile Module is used to capture measurements from most digital and RS-232 handheld gages such as calipers, micrometers, digital indicators, etc The Command Mobile Module functions the same as the Digital Mobile Module, with the additional ability to send a command from a base unit to initiate a gage reading. The RS-232 Mobile Module supports RS-232 gages not supported by the Digital Mobile Module or the Command Mobile Module.

The RS-232 Remote is used when you have an RS-232 serial device, such as a gage interface or a scale, in a non-mobile setup that you want to connect to the wireless system.

Command Mobile Module
For the past few months, several customers have been testing the pre-release version of the Command Mobile Module. Because of this testing and their input, we are now releasing in November 2010 a very reliable and easy-to-use Command Mobile Module.  The functionality of the Command Mobile Module is only available from MicroRidge.

Key Functions

  • Base can request single or multiple readings.

  • Set sleep cycles to increase battery life.

  • Control with send commands from your application on the host computer or by read switches connected to the Base.

Use the Command Mobile Module when it is not convenient to press the read button on the mobile module or on the gage.  For example, in a fixtured setup with multiple gages, you may not want to walk around the fixture to press the read button on the mobile module to get a reading.  With the Command Mobile Module you can have the Base send out a read request to all of the Command Mobile Modules.  The Command Mobile Module also lends itself for use in numerous robotic applications.

The Command Mobile Module has all of the features of the Digital Mobile Module.  The command function on the Command Mobile Module can also be enable/disabled with the MobileCollect Setup Program.  The Command Mobile Module then becomes functionally identical to the Digital Mobile Module
