How to Order Thread Gages

When Ordering Please Specify:

  1. Nominal Size, threads per inch and thread size

         Example:

         for thread plug 3/8 - 16 UNC-2B (M 4 x 0.7 6H)

         for thread ring 3/8 - 16 UNC-2A (M 4 x 0.7 6g)

  2. Tolerance Class for inch (X or W)

  3.  Type of Gage: thread plug, ring or set plug

  *4. Right or Left hand thread    

 5. For plug gages under 1.150" (29.0mm) specify reversible or taperlock

  6. Specify steel or hard chrome

  7. Marking Instructions - Tool No., Gage No., Company name,

       *All thread gages shown are right hand. Left hand gages are

                       special and will be quoted upon request
