The measuring station is based on the same principle as
the microprocessor controlled System 4000. Through various changes to the
standard elements, the capability of the box (station) in terms of a
marked increase in speed compared to that of the standard 4000 unit was a
major improvement.
The measuring station, 2622-H, is set up for 16
electronic transducers (probes). The unit is basically a “black box”
which communicates solely via RS232C with the microprocessor. The 2622 - N
expands the measuring station to up to 64 electronic transducer inputs.
Through minimal input and condensed results transfer, a
cycle time of <10ms can be achieved, naturally with the usual PRETEC
precision.
The integrated “watch dog” switch checks the
working process of the measuring station constantly, and automatically
activates a general reset in the event of a malfunction. This allows the
measuring station to function without problems under extremely rough
conditions, either directly in or on the machine.
